This past month in my design studio class we were given the freedom to explore any computer design topic we would like. I dedicated my time to create a 3D house on the app Planner 5D, which developed my understanding of interior design. In the future, I hope to be a realtor-developer, and interior designer, therefore working on this project was able to help me learn about this topic and teach the difficulties and struggles there are having this career. By creating this digital house I was able to understand what I will need to study in the future and learn about to excel in this field. I am grateful for being giving this freedom and flexibility to focus on my interests since this project has helped me be more engaged in my school work.

When working with the app Planner 5D I learned how to use all the tools and taught myself the basic steps of how to create a house. Linked below is a basic tutorial video I made myself, to teach others who are interest in creating a model of house on their own.
Although the app planner 5D seemed pretty simple form the outside since all you have to do is drag in furniture and everything else in your house, the process of designing a house is a lot more complicated. Interior design and architecture is a form of art. When creating a room, house, or building, the purpose it to make people feel a certain way and evoke specific emotions. I encourage those who are also interested in this field, or just want to create art during their free time, to use this app and make a creative product. There are so many different possibilities and creations that can be done with this app, that can help further your understanding of this topic.

My house has come along way from where it originally started from since I frequently met with my dad, who would help me fix any mistakes or issues with my design. I was able to learn a lot from him and he helped me enhance my knowledge of interior design and architecture. This project took a lot of time, and I spent a couple hours every day working on it since there were so many details that needed to be added to my house. Because of the fact this project was so time consuming, I became extremely frustrated because every time I made a mistake it would prolong the amount of time my process would take.
How To Use 5d Planner App
I also struggled with making colors match, since almost every piece of furniture was either black, grey, beige, or white. This was something I was having difficulty with, so I concluded that I need to learn more about patterns and different ways to make a room and its colors match.Since my dad, who is an architect, is usually very busy with his own work, I am hoping to go into his office and conference with his workers that specialize in interior design. Doing this will help answer any questions I have and help me gather more notes and information about this topic. I am excited to continue working on my house, as well as meet other who work in the field that I hope to as well.
